Las Ramblas

Spend a few days in one of Europe’s most exciting cities. Explore the fascinating legacy of visionary architect Antoni Gaudi and the lively and distinctive art scene and then go shopping down the city’s most famous thoroughfare, the delightful “Ramblas”. If all this exhausts you, take a break on the city’s Mediterranean beach.

Suggested Itinerary:

Day 1: arrive into Barcelona Airport and take time out on the journey into town to visit Parc Guell, a wonderful introduction to the eccentric spirit of Antoni Gaudi, which gives such a distinctive character to the city’s architecture. After check-in, time for a visit to another of Gaudi’s amazing creations – the Casa Mila, the magnificent arts center known as “La Pedrera”.

Day 2: a morning sightseeing tour taking a look at the port, Montjuic and the marvellous unfinished cathedral Sagrada Familia. A short walking tour through Barcelona’s intimate Gothic Quarter ends with a visit to the cathedral of Santa Maria Del Mar. This afternoon there is free time for shopping, a trip to the beach or for individual exploration of this amazing city.

Day 3: an excursion this morning up into the hills to see the Abbey of Montserrat. After a short scenic drive, there is lunch at the Parador de Cardona before heading off to the airport for the flight home.
