Day-by-Day Itinerary

Saturday 16 October :
Depart on scheduled flight. Dinner on board. Arrive Nairobi Airport in the evening and transfer to the Stanley Hotel for overnight.

Sunday 17 October :
Following an early breakfast you will be transferred to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the lodge in time for lunch. Three meals a day are included throughout the trip. An afternoon game drive returns to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight Ol Tukai Lodge.

Monday 18 October :
Early morning and afternoon game drives in the park. Track the great elephant herds across the savannah with mighty Mount Kilimanjaro for a backdrop. Overnight Ol Tukai Lodge.

Tuesday 19 October :
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred back to the airstrip for the early morning flight to Nairobi (approximately 45 minutes) meet up with your driver guide for the journey across the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru via the spectacular scenery of Hell’s Gate National Park and you can go canoeing on beautiful Lake Naivasha. Overnight Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Wednesday 20 October :
Morning and afternoon game drives showcase the great flocks of flamingoes on the lake as well as the rich variety of animals on the shore including rhinos, giraffes, baboons and some of Africa’s largest pythons. Overnight Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Thursday 21 October :
Drive across Kenya’s fertile highlands and down the Rift Escarpment to the Maasai Mara game reserve. Check in to the Mara Sarova Tented Camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon head out on your first game drive in the Mara. Overnight Mara Sarova Tented Camp.

Friday 22 October :
Get up before dawn today to try one of the great experiences of the world of travel – a balloon ride over the Maasai Mara. This optional excursion costs extra and must be booked in advance. Morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara. The Mara’s shallow rivers are home to crocodiles and hippos. Overnight Mara Sarova Tented Camp.

Saturday 23 October :
A final morning game drive in the Maasai Mara. There are elephants here and rhinos and giraffes as well as the big cats – lions, leopards and cheetahs Take the afternoon flight to Nairobi, where there will be dinner at Carnivore Restaurant before transferring to the airport for the overnight flight to London.

Sunday 24 October :
Arrive home early on Sunday morning.
