Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 01:
On arrival at Amman Airport you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel by deluxe air-conditioned bus.
Overnight Marriott Amman Hotel.

Day 02:
Morning excursion to the ancient Roman city of Jerash. A guided tour takes in the theatres, colonnaded streets, Temple of Artemis and Zeus and a complex of churches. Return to Amman where there is an afternoon guided tour of the city.
Dinner and overnight Marriott Amman Hotel.

Day 03:
Depart for Petra for a full day trip to explore the rose-red city. There is a full guided tour of the site and plenty of time to wander through the temples and tombs of what was once the centre of a wealthy trading empire.

Day 04:
This morning head south to Wadi Rum, the Valley of the Moon. Here you will feel the romance of the Arabian desert in a landscape of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of white and pink colored sands. There’s a jeep tour to explore the most spectacular sights of Wadi Rum. Spend the night at a tented camp run by the local bedouins.

Day 05:
Depart for the crusader castle at Karak for a short visit, then continue to Madaba for a visit to the 6th century Church of St. George with its fascinating mosaic map of the area. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth.

Day 06:
A full free day to enjoy the facilities of this fine hotel. Go for a swim in the Dead Sea and perhaps take a treatment at the hotel’s Anantara spa.

Day 07:
Another full free day at the Dead Sea. Perhaps take an excursion to the nearby site of Bethany beyond the Jordan, reputed to be the place where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Watch the sun set from the Dead Sea beach.

Day 08:
Transfer to Amman Airport for the flight home.
